A Tempo is a short comic that Winter and I made back in… 2017? 2018? Wow. Quite a while ago! It was the first ever comic we made and collaborated on.

The name derives from the musical direction “a tempo”, which is to return to the proper tempo. Before this I had created a time witch character, Kena, and Winter had a one-man-band OC, Quinn (that they had made for my webcomic, SanCirc) and we immediately decided they would be cute together. Winter then made a fun little script with them, and then I started work on sketching it out. And then we had a whole little comic!

The comic follows Kena, a time-witch, who has a run-in with a one-man-band, Quinn. Kena finds Quinn’s playing to be out of proper tempo and remarks on it… and yet she just can’t seem to get Quinn out of her mind!
